Rex Wisehart founded his first business in 1971 and has been writing his own paychecks ever since.  Between 1971 and 1999 was a late stage corporate turnaround expert with 27 out of 38 successful.

In 1977-78 built the world's first renewable energy powered desalination plant on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Though he retired in 1999, 2000 - unretired, 2003 to today is full time on the internet.  Wife, no kids, dog, cat and degrees in finance and law (but never took the bar).

1. If you could take a time machine and go back in time, and you can change one life or business or both decisions. First off, would you change it? And if you would change it, what would you change it to?

Rex: The answer is I wouldn't change it. When I was a senior in college, I made the decision that they had talent left and I didn't, I was good enough that I could have gotten a tour card. But I would have been an also ran. And it also ran in the early 70s on the tournament that you were driving between tournaments, living in motel sixes with your caddy. Poor as hell. A lot of my friends did that.

They ended up being drug addicts wife beaters drunks, I would have probably done all those things. And the hardest decision I ever made was, you're not good enough Rex, and I'm so glad I made that decision because it would have really messed up the life.

2. If you could go back, you look around, and you see one positive decision that you made. Do you have one of those that you'd share?

Rex: I think it's the same decision, the same one I did, I was gonna go be a business guy, I wasn't going to be a golf professional.

3. When you come across decisions, then you get to a point where you get a little stuck, or you're not sure what to do. Do you have any tips or methods that you used to get through that? How do you move through those big decisions or small decisions that just come up?

Rex: One, I try never to get tied up in the emotions of the decision, and just be determined and do what I have to do. And to Brian Tracy wrote a book called Eat That Frog. I've been doing what Brian Tracy said,

you need to eat that frog for 50 years.

Every day, I do the hardest thing that I have to do all day first. Okay. And then the rest just sort of flows. And if I really mess up, first, I probably won't have a very good day. But I'm lucky enough that I've been able to eat my frog relatively well, most of my life. And that ends up a lot of really good days.

4. If you had to start over, would you be doing what you're doing now? Would you go for something different?

Rex: You know, I've done what I want to do every day since 1971. I've lived pretty happily, why would I change it?

5. Is there anything that you'd like to close with anything that you want to share with the readers and viewers that could benefit?

Rex: I am a licensee to what I believe is the world's finest lead generation tool. There are three ways that you can go out and create lots of leads online if you so choose the demographics, there's IP addresses, or there's following people. If someone finds me demographically, they find some old man who lives in southeast Denver with a wife and no kids and a dog and a cat and makes okay money. But that's all they find. It's all anonymous stuff.

If they find me with an IP address, there are different ways to find me, but the ultimate answer is the same, it's all anonymous stuff. The company that I hold a license to and I'm one of the only 44 in the world that hold it follows people, we follow over 150 million Americans taking over 40 billion data points a day online. And then it's AI and machine learning that becomes a prediction engine as who's getting ready to buy what when.
